Welcome to Primitive Peak
Hi my name is Andrew, welcome to my site! Primitive Peak is where I share my love for bushcraft, camping, hiking and everything that comes with living close to nature.
From primitive skills forgotten in time to campfire cooking, hand-built shelters to drone views of wild landscapes, I capture the real stories of my outdoor adventures on my YouTube channel and right here on this website. Whether you’re here to learn a new skill, get inspired for your next trip, or just curious about what happens when you reconnect with forgotten knowledge, you’re in the right place.

What inspired me to start Primitive Peak?
For me, it all started with a love for nature and a need for peace. I was going through some tough times mentally and emotionally, and I found that being outdoors, hiking, fishing, cooking over a fire, helped me feel grounded again. Primitive Peak became my way of sharing that experience with others, to show that even simple moments in nature can have a powerful impact on our wellbeing.

What kind of content will I create?
I want to focus on real, down-to-earth outdoor content, wild camping, primitive/modern bushcraft, foraging, hiking, and campfire cooking. I also plan to mix in educational videos, ASMR-style nature moments, and fun challenges. Everything I create is filmed by me, using my GoPro, drone, or phone, always honest, never overproduced. I want people to feel like they’re out there with me.

Why do I think getting outdoors is so important?
Because it resets you. Nature doesn’t care about stress, status, or screens. It slows you down, clears your head, and gives you space to breathe. I’ve seen the difference it has made in my own life, both mentally and physically. That’s why I want to encourage more people to step outside, even if it’s just for a short walk, an overnight camp, or trying something new, like lighting your first fire.

What’s my goal with Primitive Peak?
To inspire and include. Whether you’re new to the outdoors or have years of experience, Primitive Peak is a place where you’re welcome. I want to build a community of like-minded adventurers who value nature, enjoy learning new skills, and appreciate the simplicity of the wild. It’s not about showing off, it’s about showing up, getting muddy, making memories, and growing together.
